    Kevin Lee
    Technical Trainer

    Kevin Lee has over 21 years’ experience in the Fire and Security field including Fire Protection Applications Engineer, Sound and Communication Engineer, Nurse Call Engineer, and Graphic Designer. Kevin joined Edwards in 2007 as a Technical Instructor.

    Education: In addition to NICET certification, Kevin holds a Computer Electronics Technician certificate from the Technical Education Center. He also has a degree from Delta State University, where he majored in Graphic Design in Advertising.

    Specialties: EST3, FireWorks, Mass Notification (MNEC), and StarCall.


    Victor McGrew has been in the security and fire alarm industry for over 20 years. Victor was previously employed as a project manager with a Strategic Partner in Atlanta where he designed, installed, and serviced multiple types of low voltage systems including: large fire alarms, nurse calls, camera systems, sound, voice data, and access control. Victor joined Edwards in 2007 as a Technical Instructor.

    Education: Victor attended college in Marietta, GA at Southern Polytechnic State and holds numerous technical certifications in the low voltage and fire alarm industry.

    Specialties: EST3, FireWorks, Mass Notification (MNEC), and VM-1.

    Mark Perez
    Technical Trainer

    Mark Perez entered the Life Safety Industry in 2001 working for a distributor as a Fire Alarm Installer and Inspector. After a few years working on Fire Alarm Systems, Security Systems, Access Control, and Camera Systems, Mark joined Edwards in 2007. Mark held a position in the Edwards Technical Support team for 9 years before moving into the role of a Technical Trainer.

    Education: Mark attended the Florida State Fire College where he became a licensed Florida State Fire Inspector. In his years in the Life Safety Industry Mark has obtained a number field related technical certificates.

    Specialties: EST3, VM-1, iO, VS, and FX.

    Robert Schulz entered the Life Safety Industry in 1992, he worked for a Strategic Partner, two distributors, and several other low voltage companies over the course of his career. He also has experience in IT with several years as a Field Engineer for an entire region of the United States. Rob joined Edwards in 2005 as a Technical Instructor and teaches classes on Edwards and Kidde product lines.

    Education: Rob holds an Associate’s Degree in Electronics Technology from Tampa College where he graduated on the Dean’s list for Academic Honors. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in Business Management and a minor in Information Technology.

    Specialties: EST3, VM-1, Managed Industrial Ethernet Switches, Fireworks Network, and Wireless Network.
